2011 Rules Updates
There is a new Honda GSX390 motor that has taken the place of the motor we currently use. The new motor will not be legal for 2011 for GSMCA or MMRA.
It will now be mandatory for all Future Stars cars to run a MMRA sealed motor to be sealed by EES.
The amount of Championship races required in the Open division will be reduced from 14 races to 10 races.
We will schedule 3 modified races for 2011 on the dates that modifieds race there will not be an MMRA Open division race. These 3 races will be noted as modified races on the schedule.
The rules for the modified division will require that you run a Honda 390 block and head with no transmissions allowed. The weight requirement for this division will be 750 lbs. minimum. There will also be an age requirement of 16 years old and you must show driver's license for proof of age. - NO EXCEPTIONS!
All GSMCA members will be required to run a minimum of the Richardson one piece universal head rest (part # R40-022-5).
For all divisions including Modified please make sure car and driver meets minimum safety requirements set forth by MMRA.
If event is rained out after qualifying or heat race has taken place and feature is not completed GSMCA points will be awarded according to qualifying/heat race order. If event is completely rained out and no activities are completed all cars in attendance will receive 40 points.
At GSMCA events where cars qualify instead of a heat race, pole winner will receive 1 additional point.
